The misconception that sunscreen is only necessary during sunbathing sessions at the beach can have detrimental consequences. 

A case in point is an individual who simply wanted to enjoy some fishing in approximately 50-degree weather, yet ended up with a severe sunburn as an unpleasant souvenir.
