It’s Sort of Sunscreen
There is a plethora of information to digest from this situation. At first glance, it may appear that these three individuals simply applied a few smudges of sunscreen onto their skin.
However, in reality, there is no sunscreen present whatsoever, which explains why the majority of their backs ended up with a painful sunburn. The handprints they made were actually created using body paint. Although this body paint does not provide protection against the sun, it did manage to sufficiently cover their skin and prevent sunburn.
