No Traffic Lights in Molokai
Molokai, often regarded as the least developed of Hawaii’s islands, has fewer than 8,000 people and boasts a notable distinction: it has no traffic lights. Furthermore, Molokai has very few roads and experiences minimal traffic.
While the occasional pickup truck can be spotted, many residents of Molokai do not own cars and primarily get around on foot. Molokai has not embraced extensive economic development, preserving its unique character and a slice of old Hawaii.
