Charles Lindbergh Is Buried in Hawaii
Charles Lindbergh, one of America’s most celebrated aviators, had a deep affinity for Kipahulu, one of Maui’s districts. Maui is the second-largest island in Hawaii and is where Lindbergh chose to make his home.
Lindbergh is best known for his historic solo nonstop transatlantic flight from Long Island, New York, to Paris, France. Some 41 years later, he settled in Maui, drawn by its beauty and simplicity. Ultimately, Charles Lindbergh found his final resting place in the Palapala Ho’omau Church on the island of Maui.
