King Edward VII & Prince William

Long before he assumed the title King Charles III, Prince Charles and Princess Diana brought joy to all of England when their first son, William, was born in 1982. He was baptized in a white lace christening gown inspired by Queen Victoria’s wedding dress.

Six English monarchs have worn This special baby gown, starting with Queen Victoria’s first son, Edward VII, followed by George V, Edward VIII, George VI, Queen Elizabeth II, and Charles III. Princes William and Harry also had the honor of wearing the same robe.
