Socrates
Socrates, a towering figure in ancient Greek philosophy, often endured mockery during his lifetime. However, he stands as one of the foundational thinkers of Western philosophy, emphasizing the paramount importance of discussion and conversation in the ethical traditions of thought.
In terms of appearance, Socrates was a compact and stocky man with notably bulging eyes, and his physical presentation often appeared somewhat unkempt. Self-care did not rank high on his priorities when there were profound philosophical matters to ponder. Ultimately sentenced to death on charges of corrupting the youth, his theories and ideas would posthumously garner admiration and endure as pivotal elements of modern thought and teachings.
