Vincent van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh, afflicted by mental illness and endowed with incredible artistic talent, stands as one of the most influential painters in Western art history. Born in the 1850s, Van Gogh produced over 2,100 artworks characterized by bold styles and vibrant colors.
Yet, his artistic endeavors couldn’t alleviate the torment of constant psychotic episodes and declining physical health. Tragically, in 1890, he took his own life. However, his enduring legacy lives on through his extensive body of work, including self-portraits that depicted red hair, a beard, and eyes that radiated a profound inner turmoil.
