Pam Grier

Pam Grier, often hailed as the queen of Blaxploitation movies, enjoyed substantial success during the 1970s, appearing in a range of films in that genre, including “Coffy,” “Foxy Brown,” and “The Big Bird Cage.”

Her collaboration with Quentin Tarantino in the 1997 homage to Blaxploitation, “Jackie Brown,” introduced her to a broader audience. Grier has also ventured into television, with a notable role in the Showtime series “The L Word.”
