The person who asked her out must have been quite perplexed, but they did gain some valuable insights about this woman right from the start. Where does she suggest going for a date? The plant nursery! Fifteen houseplants is a substantial number, and recalling that number on the spot is rather impressive.
I also have houseplants, but I couldn’t tell you how many I have, and I definitely wouldn’t be thinking about them if an attractive person approached me. I’d probably stumble through a response due to my inherent awkwardness. In contrast, Andy had plants on her mind and quickly answered the attractive individual with plenty of conversation material. I wonder if they managed to smooth things and make plans with the person.
