During moments like these, it would be more sensible to give those slithering creatures a more fitting name, perhaps something like a “nope noodle.” Everyone would instantly grasp the meaning, eliminating any confusion. Still, S has some learning to do about the jungle and warfare in general if they would willingly consume an unidentified snack found on the jungle floor.
I would have considered this a test and asked numerous follow-up questions. Was it a mushroom? Did it come in packaging? Did it have a military label, or are we talking about a convenience store bag of chips? For all S knew, that hypothetical snack could have been tainted. Therefore, truthfully, their response was incorrect in either case.
