That Took a Dark Turn
The interviewer must have seen Stephen King’s “Pet Sematary” a few times to have such a reaction. In all honesty, running a pet cemetery could be an interesting and possibly profitable endeavor. Even a pet sanctuary would likely require a pet cemetery on its grounds. After all, what do you do with animals that pass away?
I’m still a bit perplexed as to why Karen wasn’t allowed to express that the job she was interviewing for was her dream job. She could have followed up quickly with legitimate reasons without coming across as overly flattering or desperate for the position. Many of us have applied for dream jobs over the years, so it’s a relatable sentiment.
