Well, it’s understandable that the friends were confused. If you speak quickly, “black eye” and “black guy” can indeed sound very similar! So, we can’t fault them for this mix-up. What surprises me is that his friends never questioned what he meant by that.
On a side note, working as a makeup artist on a movie set must be fascinating. You get to work with A-listers, and the transformation you achieve using makeup is truly magical. I’m sure this person has many entertaining and interesting work-related stories to share!
