Kids Say the Darndest Things
I adore how children often mispronounce words. “Harmonica” indeed sounds quite similar to “Chanukah.” It’s a close enough resemblance, and I’m impressed that a kindergartner didn’t mix it up even more! Kids are always involved in the funniest misunderstandings.
I also appreciate how accepting children are of one another. We could all learn a lesson from the little ones in our lives on how to treat people who look, speak, or think differently than us. Sure, if one kid thinks ice cream is gross, they might get a little teasing, but they’re usually quite open and understanding when it comes to differences like religion.
