I’m still puzzled, to be honest. Louie’s response makes no sense, and the security guard’s decision to press on without seeking clarification is rather unusual. You would think he would pause and ask, “Wait, what?” However, he’s not entirely wrong. Cats can indeed keep your head and ears warm when they decide that the top of your head is their chosen seat.
I wonder if this was one of those late-night, half-asleep realizations for Louie. I often replay conversations in my head years later while trying to sleep, so I can only imagine the moment of clarity eventually coming, followed by a peaceful slumber. Mystery solved!
