Book Of Letters
Among Laura’s many posthumous books is West From Home: Letters of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The book collects letters Laura wrote to Almanzo when she visited San Francisco in 1915. She visited Rose and went to the World’s Fair, writing about her experiences on her journey in middle age.
The book also serves as a diary of the time the Wilders were on their journey from South Dakota to Missouri, and for this reason, some fans feel it belongs with the rest of the Little House books, as it covers the same period and setting. It is a riveting portrait of its era.
