Always Writing
Laura was prolific in her writing, and this image shows her handwritten documents. Laura was a talented writer, but her rich life experience made her writing special and significant.
Among the topics that Laura wrote about was her journey traveling from South Dakota to Missouri. Now that everybody broadcasts their lives, this may seem not very interesting, but when few people put their lives down on paper, Laura provided people with someone they could identify with at the time. They are great historical documents for readers today.
