Many people intuitively understand that placing a hot object inside a plastic trash can is highly inadvisable. However, some individuals might assume that as long as they don’t have a sturdy, heavy-duty trash can and enough time has passed, it is safe to assume that the object has cooled down sufficiently and no harm will result.
