That was certainly an awkward moment, made even more awkward when he repeated the mistake for the second time. You want to talk about one of the most iconic OG wedding fails! People’s jaws are still dropping from that scene 20+ years later.
However, something similar happened at this wedding, but the groom wasn’t saying the wrong name. This time, it wasn’t the groom, but the priest saying the wrong name! He admitted he forgot the bride’s name, but it made everyone wonder if this Catherine was someone’s ex. Or if the priest initially realized his mistake but thought it best to stick to his act. Either way, this makes for a funny wedding story.
