This remarkable feat marks the city’s second consecutive year in the top spot, leaving Dubai in second place with 12 million visitors. Interestingly, while Paris is a coveted destination for many, it has also garnered a reputation for evoking “Paris Syndrome,” a phenomenon experienced by approximately 20 Japanese tourists annually, according to a staffer at the Japanese embassy in Paris, as cited in a 2006 Guardian article.
