Cranberries

Cranberries, much like rice, require flooding as part of their growing process. They typically thrive in unique habitats like watery bogs and take considerable time to reach maturity.

Cranberries can take up to one and a half years to fully mature. Not all cranberries are suitable for raw consumption, as about 95% are too bitter. Instead, people often process these berries into delectable products like cranberry sauce.
