Cloves
In their natural state, cloves could easily be mistaken for simple twigs. This raw form differs from the familiar aromatic spice used in various beverages and culinary recipes. Cloves are derived from a specific tree.
Interestingly, harvesters collect cloves not from the tree’s flowers but from its buds. While chefs can also use the flowers in cooking, they primarily seek the red-hued buds for their distinct flavor and aroma.
