Octopuses, on the other hand, make for even more unconventional pets, and there aren’t official statistics on their prevalence. However, acquiring these aquatic creatures can be expensive, ranging from $20 to $1,000 for the animal alone. Additionally, an appropriately sized tank for an octopus typically costs around $300. Nicolas Cage’s choice of exotic pets doesn’t appear cheap.
