The Pantheon of Greek Gods
In Greek mythology, Zeus is often considered the head of the Greek Pantheon. However, this belief is only partly accurate. Ancient Greece was divided into various independent city-states with distinct religious practices.
While the ancient Greeks fervently worshipped numerous gods, they adhered to henotheism, a practice involving the veneration of one god from among the pantheon while acknowledging the existence of other gods.
