Navigating Attraction in a Marriage
Marriage doesn’t extinguish one’s ability to find other people attractive. It’s entirely normal to occasionally have surprising dreams or appreciate the aesthetics of a passerby. These fleeting moments of attraction are part of the human experience.
In this scenario, the individual feels no need to disclose such thoughts to their spouse, and rightly so. As the saying goes, ‘Look, but don’t touch.’ Fantasizing about others is distinct from acting upon such fantasies, and it becomes a concern only if it interferes with the relationship with their spouse.
